The publisher of the DTV Brief blog, Mr. Anders Bjers, was until recently one of four members in the executive team of the Swedish Governments Digital-TV-Commission [link]. Sweden is one out of the three very first countries in the world to complete a national transition to digital TV. Mr. Bjers served during three years in the Commission that was the hub for managing the transition in Sweden.
He was one of the key architects behind extensive national information campaigns to bring awareness to consumers, retailers, local governments and other stakeholders.
Mr. Bjers were on the expert panel at GAO, focusing on the transition to digital TV in the US. GAO is the US Governments Accountability Office. (www.gao.gov)
He also recently advised FCC in Washington D.C on consumer awareness.
